I admit it. I confess. I watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette. I have since the beginning, the very first one. I have been there when each one ended in a proposal or not. I have been there when the Bachelor Jason changed his mind and chose another woman. I have been there for every “most” dramatic rose ceremony ever. I have been there for it all and now I admit it. I am a sucker!
Now, it is Ashley’s season.
And my watching continues….but I am not alone. I have my friends to watch it with me. Thanks, Melanie and Kaylee for encouraging my addiction! So, today’s Tasty treat are chocolate roses in honor of the Bachelorette.
I love making these and with molds it is easy and fun. These bring back good memories of my aunt making chocolate suckers when I was a kid and showing me how. Since then, when I use molds to make suckers or candy, I think of my aunt.
First, get your mold from any craft store or even Wal Mart. For this occasion I chose roses, of course. I chose green and red chocolates to melt. First, I melted the green for the leaves. Now, here you also need a paint brush. I used a small one and I paint the leaves green.
I set that aside and let it dry. Then, melted the red chocolates and filled in the entire rose.
Put them in the freezer for fast results and then you are done. Pop those babies out and now you have a sweet treat.
Oh, I have to go, my show is coming on!!!
So tasty, So ready to get my Bachelorette on and SO La-Dee-Da!!!!
